Pyrolysis for Waste Management & Fuel Production
Model
Key:
Microwave Oven - The container for the microwaves, these waves will heat up the environment yet still be contained within a designated area.
Plastic Waste - Input of plastic waste will be transported into the reactor where the pyrolysis process occurs.
Nitrogen - Serves as a fuel for the reactor, which will likely ignite when enough microwaves are applied.
Heat Controller - Controls the temperature according to what the thermocouple is picking up. Events will be sent to microwave machines when temperature is below desired number.
Thermocouple - Gauges the temperature of the Microwave Oven, sends a desired number of the current heat environment for the heat controller to work.
Reactor - The chamber where pyrolysis occurs. Mixing plastic waste and nitrogen, while recycling heavier oils further. outputs multiple types of oils, and biochar which will be filtered.
Condenser System - Container where oils will be stored, with heavier likely being on the bottom. Filtering out gasses that come from the processes into a separate chamber.
Fluid Pump - Helps cycle the oils outputted in the process. It helps to filter gasses that get entrapped inside the oil.
Biochar - Is a output of the process. Commonly used for fertilizer in plants, or serving as a soil amendment, which can mimic the properties of dirt.
